This is a Dr Who wallpaper I did for Smithy and Penfold. In my opinion Steven Moffat has rekindled the Dr Who series, with awesome writing excellent characters  that you get to actually feel for, all in all season 5 and 6 have been the best in very long time.

This Wallpaper is from seaseon 2. Buck, Wilma, and Twiki set off into deep space aboard the Searcher, a starship on a mission to find the lost tribes of Earth — humans who fled to the stars after a nuclear holocaust that all but destroyed the planet.

In the year 1987, NASA launched the last of America’s deep space probes. Aboard this compact starship a lone astronaut, Captain William “Buck” Rogers, was to experience cosmic forces beyond all comprehension. In a freak mishap, his life-support systems were frozen by temperatures beyond imagination. Ranger III was blown out of its plan trajectory into an orbit 1,000 times more vast, an orbit which was to return Buck Rogers to earth 500 years later.

This was my favorite sci-fi show in the early 80’s and like nearly every one I had the biggest crush on the lovely Erin Gray.  biddy biddy!

It’s a classic sci-fi movie from the 80’s, and there hasn’t been a good widescreen wallpaper of this picture, which was my favourite version of the poster,  so I scanned in an old crumpled picture I had found lying in some drawer or cupboard, and made it into this wallpaper hope you like it I do 🙂
