The Guild – Do You Wanna Date My Avatar

September 11, 2011

The Guild

Created and written by Felicia Day, who also stars as Cyd Sherman (aka Codex). It premiered on YouTube on July 27, 2007. Subsequent webisodes premiered on Microsoft’s Xbox Live Marketplace, Zune Marketplace, and MSN Video. The webisodes were later made available on the official Guild website,

The show revolves around the lives of an online guild, The Knights of Good, who play countless hours of an MMORPG (Massively multiplayer online role-playing game) video game, aptly named “The Game” (world of warcraft). The story focuses on Codex, the guild’s Priestess.

The Guild was originally intended to be a pilot episode for a TV series, but Felicia Day was advised that it would be much more suited for a web series. The show changed its format and script to fit a web series. The first episode “Wake-Up Call” premiered on YouTube on July 27, 2007. After the first three episodes, the group ran out of money; but a link to Day’s PayPal brought enough donations to fund “Cheesybeards” and “Rather Be Raiding”. The first season ended on May 15, 2008, consisting of 10 episodes and two specials (including the Christmas special, “Christmas Raid Carol”).

The first episode of Season 5 was released on Xbox Live and Zune on July 26, 2011.

Anyone who has played Warcraft will instantly get this awesome show.  It’s lol from start to end.

Thor Wallpaper (2011 )

Thor

The powerful but arrogant warrior Thor is cast out of the realm of Asgard and sent to live amongst humans on Earth, were he must prove himself worthy of Mjolnir and with it regain the power of  Thor. A fantastic comic hero movie. Oh and just incase you missed it J. Michael Straczynski is the first dude to discover the hammer (Mjolnir) and give it a tug.

Story by J. Michael Straczynski, Mark Protosevich.

Mjollnir
The hammer of the god Thor. It was made by the dwarfs Brokk and Eitri. The hammer was a symbol of Thor’s strength and of the thunderbolt he personified. The hammer had a massive head and a short handle and was shaped somewhat like a cross. While Eitri was shaping the hammer in the foundry, Loki, who had changed himself into a gadfly, pestered Brokk, who worked the bellows for his brother. At a crucial point in the making of the hammer, Loki stung Brokk on his eyelid; the dwarf was distracted and let go of the bellows. The fire died and Eitri did not have enough heat to finish the handle. For many centuries, Norsemen wore the hammer’s likeness as an amulet. Many of these amulets have been discovered in archaeological digs in Scandinavia and Great Britain. Many ancient gravestones and rune stones also depict Thor’s hammer.

Well that’s according to Kathleen N, Daly

Nicola Bryant Wallpaper

Nicola Bryant

Best known for her role as Perpugilliam “Peri” Brown, a companion of  Peter Davison, the 5th Dr, and then with Colin Baker, the 6th Dr. Bryant’s tenure on the show was met with raised eyebrows in some quarters as series producer John Nathan-Turner admitted (in his book Doctor Who The Companions and elsewhere) that his intention was to pump up the sex appeal of the ageing series by casting the young actress who was often seen wearing revealing outfits in the show. She played the part from 1984 to 1986, and my personal favorite oooh so hot.
