Real Genius

Real Genius a 1985 comedy set on the campus of Pacific Tech, a fictional technical university.

Chris Knight (Val Kilmer) is a genius in his senior year working on a chemical laser. Mitch Taylor (Gabriel Jarret) is a new student on campus who is paired up with Knight to work on the laser. Unbeknown to them Professor Jerry Hathaway (William Atherton) is working in secret with the CIA and have sinister plans for the laser.

Not only is this an awesome movie but it has a cracking soundtrack with songs by The Comsat Angels, “One Night Love Affair” performed by Bryan Adams, Chaz Jankel, Tears for Fears
